Placemaking & Town Development
We carefully study the culture, history, and accumulated knowledge of each place,
working closely with local residents to envision a shared future.
By shedding light on assets that often go unnoticed in everyday life,
we ask a simple but essential question:
What should this town look like ten years from now?
To realise that vision, we collaborate with a wide range of partners —
bringing together people, capital, properties, and infrastructure —
to create change that is gradual, thoughtful, and lasting.

Place Making
We rediscover the values, landscapes, and stories that each town has long cherished, and thoughtfully re-shape them for the present day.
By designing walkable streets, gathering places, and spaces where people can linger, we treat the town itself as a single, connected experience.
Our goal is to create places where both residents and visitors can genuinely say, “I love this town.”
People & Culture
We nurture the people who will carry local history, stories, and culture into the next generation.
As guides, cultural hosts, caretakers, and storytellers increase in number, so too does the town’s ability to share its unique character.
Through people connecting with people, a gentle and sustainable cycle of attraction and belonging begins to grow.
Momentum & Branding
We communicate the town’s appeal in clear and compelling ways, building anticipation, curiosity, and emotional connection.
By shaping a coherent worldview and identity, we allow the entire town to breathe as a single brand.
In doing so, we cultivate positive momentum—inviting people to think, “I want to be part of this place.”
Food & Dining
We create places where guests can enjoy fresh, locally sourced ingredients from Myoko
at their very best.
Through careful preparation, warm hospitality, and comfortable spaces, we aim to offer not just meals, but moments that feel genuinely satisfying and memorable.

Retail & Product Development
We develop and curate products rooted in Niigata —
from processed local foods and regional crafts
to original items created under the Sekiyama brand.
Each product carries a story, and we take great care
to present and share that story through thoughtful display and personal interaction.

Lifestyle & Service Experiences
To enrich everyday life for local residents,
we offer a range of services including beauty, wellness, cultural experiences, and learning opportunities.
For visitors, we also develop tourism services such as guided tours, local guide training,
and multilingual support — ensuring that time spent in this region is both comfortable and meaningful.

Minpaku (Private Lodging) Management
As a licensed private lodging management company approved by Japan’s Ministry of Land,
Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism,
we provide safe and reliable management services tailored to Myoko’s snowy climate and local conditions.
For properties within Myoko City, we maintain an emergency response system
that allows us to be on-site within 60 minutes when required.
From heavy snowfall to sudden guest issues,
we handle the unexpected challenges of lodging operations —
allowing owners to manage their properties with peace of mind.
Accommodation & Stay Experiences
Sekiyama offers a diverse range of accommodation options for visitors.
Around Sekiyama Station, we are developing the area so that the town itself feels like a single,
connected lodging experience —
encouraging guests to explore slowly, on foot, and at their own pace.
Together with local partners, we warmly welcome you
to fully experience the unique charm and rhythm of Sekiyama.

Platform Development
For a town to truly come alive,
people must feel safe, comfortable, and invited to walk, linger, and explore.
If a street lacks sidewalks, people simply won’t feel encouraged to walk.
Thoughtful infrastructure shapes how people experience a place.
Our goal is to create environments where visitors feel:
anticipation before arrival,
reassurance as they walk,
calm as they stay,
and satisfaction as they leave.

Our Core Activities
Creating Public Spaces
We design and enhance public spaces where people naturally want to linger and spend time.
This includes creating green lawns and small fountains, planting street trees, providing shade with awnings, improving pedestrian walkways, and adding flower beds and night lighting.
We also install essential amenities such as benches, public toilets, and waste facilities—everything needed to make public spaces comfortable, welcoming, and enjoyable for daily use.
Through thoughtful design, we transform everyday spaces into places where people feel encouraged to stay, relax, and connect.
Event Planning & Management
We plan and operate a wide range of events that bring seasonal rhythm and vitality to the town.
These include weekend pedestrian-only streets, farmers’ and flower markets, as well as seasonal celebrations such as Christmas, Easter, Halloween, New Year festivities, mountain opening ceremonies, and summer festivals.
In addition, we rediscover and reinterpret events rooted in local history and tradition, creating experiences that reflect the unique character and spirit of the area.
By doing so, we foster events that feel authentic, meaningful, and deeply connected to the town’s identity.
Digital Infrastructure & Data-Driven Placemaking
By leveraging digital technology, we analyse pedestrian flow and visitor movement to better understand how people experience the town.
We use data to test ideas, measure impact, and refine strategies for creating vibrancy and circulation.
This approach allows us to evaluate what truly works—and why.
Furthermore, we provide data-based consulting using visitor and customer insights from individual businesses, helping to strengthen the entire local ecosystem.
Through these efforts, we support a form of placemaking that is grounded in evidence, adaptable, and sustainable over time.
Common Place Project
What is a Common Place?
A Common Place is the “front door” of the town —
the first space people encounter when they arrive.
Located near stations or key facilities,
it is an open and welcoming space where anyone can drop in freely.
It is not designed solely for tourists.
Local residents are equally encouraged to stop by, relax, chat, or simply spend time —
a place that blends naturally into everyday life.
By creating such spaces,
we hope to foster organic encounters between residents and visitors,
across generations and cultures,
and allow new forms of vibrancy to grow naturally within the town.
